Children: “Snow!"
Coach: (pointing each direction) Is the snow on the ground high or low?"
Children: “Low!”
Coach: "Show me how to make your glove low-to-the-snow®."
Coach: "What is green and lives in the swamp?"
Children: “ Alligator!”
Coach: "Keeping your glove low-to-the-snow® create an alligator with your glove and other hand." Demonstrate the alligator's chomping motion with them.
Coach: "Once the alligator eats the baseball, where does it go? First, into its (point to mouth) and then down into its (point to belly)."
Children: “Mouth” and “Belly”
Coach: “So after the ball goes into our alligator’s mouth we should put it at our (point to belly button.)"
Children: “Bellies!”
Coach: (Rolls each player a baseball or tennis ball.) Before they field it, the coach continues repeating, "Alligator low-to-the-snow®," "Belly button" and “Throw.”
